Queensland Division About Us Queensland Committee The ALLA (Queensland Division) is a group of information professionals working in a legal environment in both the public and private sectors. We have more than 100 members and a committee which consists of 12 members who are elected at the AGM held in September each year. We liaise with the national ALLG and interstate Divisions on matters of mutual concern. We offer our members: Continuing professional development opportunities Forums for informal discussion Promotion of our profession to the public Occasion to network and develop inter-library liaison Ability to lobby as a group Our activities include: Bi-monthly meetings which include a guest speaker Publication of a quarterly newsletter Publication of a state based union list of serial holdings Members directory Conduct a program of legal research skills to members and the wider community Conduct *talkfests* to facilitate informal discussion Organise social functions to encourage communication between members
